Applications in the Lawn & Garden Industry.

Dethatchers, Verticutters and Seeders

Equipment that is put into use for short, intense periods require extra care to keep lubricated and corrosion free. Using Fluid Film during prep, application and storage will keep all metals, chains, tines and blades in perfect operating condition for each piece of equipment.

Fertilizer Spreaders

For Fertilizer Spreaders, maintenance is a must. Hose out spreader after use to remove all seed and fertilizer, than apply a coat of Fluid Film. Fluid Film will not harm paint or plastic, and will provide complete corrosion control for all metals.

Golf Course Equipment

Fluid Film protects maintenance equipment and golf carts on golf courses. Being non-conductive, Fluid Film makes an excellent protectant for battery terminals. Make sure connections are tight before applying Fluid Film. Fluid Film is also an excellent undercoating which will protect carts and equipment from fertilizers, pesticides and grass clippings

Hedge Trimmers

Fluid Film works great on trimmers & clippers. Just apply a light film and let the trimmer run for a few seconds to allow Fluid Film to penetrate effectively. Fluid Film will not burn greenery on cutting devices and will keep sap from sticking to blades.

Lawnmower Decks

Fluid Film prevents corrosion and eases in removal of grass build up. Apply to a clean deck. Fluid Film bulk applied with a paint brush works best for this application.

Mowers

One area for equipment health that should be checked regularly is under the decks of mowers. When dirt and debris (lawn clippings, etc.) build-up and aren't removed they can quickly corrode the deck, shorten the life of the bearings in the spindles and also contribute to lawn disease. After a day of mowing, hose out the deck and apply a coat of Fluid Film. Fluid Film can be applied over a damp surface and will leave a non-drying film, cutting off all oxygen from the surface and creating a barrier of protection that will prevent all corrosion from occurring. Because of its non-drying characteristics, Fluid Film also helps keep grass and debris from sticking, making clean-up a breeze.

Winterising

Equipment not properly maintained or suitably stored during the cold-weather months can end up raising costs substantially by the time spring rolls around. Heavy equipment needed during winter months require extra attention. Proper maintenance during these periods can help reduce the stresses involved with the cold-weather season. Battery requirements are also greater during winter months while their output is less, so proper battery care is an important part of equipment maintenance. Fluid Film will effectively stop any corrosion from occurring, allowing batteries to perform at optimum expenditure during this period. For equipment being stored indoors or out, a liberal dose of Fluid Film will prevent any corrosion from occurring. For equipment stored near fertilizers, Fluid Film protects all metals from atmospheric exposure.

Tools

Spray on tools directly and rub in with dry cloth, or spray on cloth and rub in. Fluid Film leaves a thin film which will not come off on hands or clothes, providing long-term protection.
